Laurier’s School Day Hockey Game

Students in grades 4 to 8 will be attending Laurier’s School Day Hockey Game. It will take place on Thursday, November 30th, 2017. As if a CIAU hockey game weren’t excitement enough, there will many other exciting things happening at this event! What other exciting things, you ask? Well, our school choir will be singing “O Canada”. There will be a Teddy-Bear Toss. Everyone who brings a teddy bear (or stuffed animal) gets to hurl it onto the ice when the Golden Hawks score their first goal. (Don’t worry! They’ll score!) Students are encouraged to bring a new or gently-used stuffed animal to participate in the toss. The tossed stuffed animals will be donated to one of the participating organizations in the Waterloo Region. As well, there will be science stations set up in the halls of the arena so that students can explore some science during intermissions or while the game is on if they can tear themselves away from the exciting hockey game!  Students will be bused to and from the game.  They will be back at school in time for regular dismissal.
