I hope that all of you have had a restful and safe summer break. It is with excitement that we begin to prepare for the new school year. I am sure your children are secretly looking forward to resuming the routines and friendship at Holy Family, perhaps the adults are not so secretly welcoming their return to school. as well.
We have several staffing changes to start the year off. New to our school is Mr. Vuylsteke who will be in Gr.8 as an LTO while Ms. Cater is on her maternity leave. Ms. Butter is joining the JK/SK division as an LTO for Mrs. Williams maternity leave. Ms. Floto is joining us as an ECE teacher. Mrs. Gentile will be teaching the new grade 1 class. Ms. Esbough is a permanent hire to Holy Family and will be teaching grade 1/2 combined. Ms. McCloud will be returning to Holy Family as a permanent teacher to our staff, she will be teaching grade 6 this year. Returning to our school is Mrs. Litchti and Mrs. Kalbliesch. We welcome these staff and all returning staff members.
In our planning to meet student needs we have change grade classroom assignments. Ms. Jarvis’ grade 4’s will be moving into the school and Ms. Hurren’s grade 7 will be in a portable this year.
We look forward to welcoming the students on Sept. 4th. To make the first day start smoothly we ask that parent remain on the sidewalk to allow teachers to organize the students into their classes. There will be staff member assisting any student who may not know which class or room they are assigned to.
I wish you all a safe long weekend
